Cultivate that mustard seed faith
by knowing the Savior.
See how others’ faith has grown by looking to Christ.
Take your everyday needs and struggles to Him,
and find your faith held secure in His hands.
And Watch the mountains move.

Dear Reader,
When I read of George Müller’s faith, I question my faith. . . If only I had more!
How do you measure faith?
Such an abstract concept that we speak of “getting more of.”
The disciples also wished for more, yet Jesus corrected them.

“If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea:’ and it would obey you” Luke 17:6.

How big is a mustard seed?
When I type an “o” (at 12 font), one seed can fit comfortably in its center. That’s small.

How could that little amount do anything?
But we miss Christ’s point.
It’s not the amount of faith we have, but where it’s placed.

What do you trust?
Our abilities, talents, family, money, things can all get in our way—until God strips them from us to make us look to Him.
We focus on the wrong thing—the mountain that must be moved, the storm that must be stilled, the bill that must be paid, the problem that must be solved.
We pray, “Strengthen our faith,” yet go through our day as if we must find the answer.
George Müller waited until he heard from God. He believed God would answer. And He did.

How would our lives change if we waited for God to answer us?

Would we pray “give us more faith”? Or “give us stronger faith”?
Or would we pray “show us more of You”?
When we see God for Who He is, we can’t help but bring our needs to Him and let Him take care of them.
He is enough.

The mountain wasn’t that big.
The storm wasn’t that harsh.
The bill wasn’t that much.
The problem was easily solved.
By the God Who created the mountain, caused the storm, owns everything, and knows the future.
What are you waiting for?
Look at the mustard seed and remember what God can do with it.
Put your little faith in the Hands of a great God and see what He will do.
