I write about what matters...to you---
women, wives and moms---
about your family, faith and future.
I write about what's hard, what helps and what heals.
I show you how it's done. And not done.
I hold your hand as you find what matters to the Savior.
And let go of those things that mattered to you, but not to Him.
I write about what matters...to Him.

Does the World Make Sense?

In 2009-2010, we watched Obama ignore the deaths of 12,469 people associated with the swine flu (encouraging greater exposure by not closing the Mexican border) (https://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/estimates_2019_h1n1.html), yet now those who should be representing us (and doing things for our best interest) find it necessary to shut the entire country down because 36 have died in the United States of the Corona flu, according to the stats from U.S. Center for Disease Control (https://www.reuters.com/article/brief-us-cdc-reports-36-total-deaths -due/brief-us-cdc-reprots-36-total-deaths-due-to-new-coronavirus-as-of-march-11-at-4-pm-et-idUSL4N2B54p5).

They create a panic among the people, not to protect them as they would like us to suppose, but to cause Trump’s popularity to diminish and cause us to call for more of their help.
The regulations they have added to private businesses are for the “protection” yet they don’t make sense, nor will they be revoked when the danger is passed. But the businesses must continue to bow to these regulations and pass the expenses to their consumer (us).

We have forgotten about global warming and saving the planet  and carbon footprint in our quest to buy toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Were those things so important after all?

How God must laugh! In fact, Psalm 2 tells us:
Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing?
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
‘Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!’

He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.” Psalm 2:1-4.

What is going on?
Last year we worked through this series:
Where Do You Find Meaning?
Are You a Watchman?
Are You an Image Bearer or Just a Wads of Cells?
Who are You?
Are You a Protector or a Ruler?
Who Will Stand in the Gap?
These articles showed what man does with God and truth will affect everything.
Because man has ignored God, man has lost his ability to reason and with his reason, his purpose, worth and value.
Why? Because we have ignored God.

It is easy to become fearful in these uncertain times (even if you do have enough toilet paper—what is enough, anyway?)
But God hasn’t changed and it is to Him we must go for answers.
Some boast in chariots and some in horses,
But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God. Psalm 20:7.

What does God want us to do, (after He laughs at these kings)?
Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; take warning, O judges of the earth.
Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling.
Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry,
and you perish in the way.
For His wrath may soon be kindled.
How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!  Psalm 2:10-12.

Seek God while He may be found.
Find your contentment in what He gives.
Be faithful to do today what He wants.
Honor His Word.
Recognize He is still God—and in control.
And it won’t matter what the world does, you will be secure with or without toilet paper —in the God Who knows the number of squares of toilet paper that you need.

How do you hang onto God when the world makes you afraid?

Very apt, as usual! Thank you!
